| Top secret F2P Nuian trading quests guide
Hello, I thought I could help F2P beta testers a little bit by making this guide which will tell you how you can easily do all trading quests on the Nuian side without a farm and without having to take the risk of making secret farms. With a little bit of experience and having EXPLORED the world, (never thought that could indirectly actually pay out eh?) one realizes you don't even need a farm to complete the trading quests. Intended by the devs? Possibly.
1st quest: Solzreed dried food 35 grapes 50 trimmed meat
The trimmed meat is easily obtainable via public farms. Grow any meat yielding tree like chickens and harvest it with ground grain which you previously grew on that same farm. The grapes are easy to get aswell. There is an orchard in Two Crowns. It's written Orchard in red letters on the west side of it. And in the orchard, there's grapes. Yeah, wild grapes not owned by players. And they respawn so quickly that even if you try to harvest them all as soon as you are done scanning the whole field they already have respawned where you began. Got your grapes, got your meat, GG
2nd quest: Gweonid dyed feathers 15 chopped fruits 15 goose down
Just use the public farms again to harvest the goose down from goose trees. Will require ground grain as well. Now if you abuse the public orchard again you can easily get enough grapes to chop them into chopped fruits. Or if you happen to have come across some fruits on your trips then those will do. Got your goose down, got your fruits, GG
3rd quest: Lilyut cooking oil 12 olives 50 dried flowers
To get dried flowers, hang around Lakeside town in Gweonid forest, there's a bunch of clovers and azaleas growing there near the roads, but seriously if you just gather all the flowers you may see on your trips those will not take long to get. Now the olives. This technique may even be faster to do as a patron than using the farm! West of Cindersone moor, there's a bit of land that is not volcanic. For some unknown reason the amount of olive trees growing there is insane. Chances of you finding a fruited tree are very, very high. And keep in mind that you only need 3-4 harvest before you have all what you need. Considering growing those olives on a farm take 20+ hours, one is more likely to find 3 trees there under 20 hours than growing them. Side note: There is also MANY fig trees there in case you'd like to get chopped fruits. Got your flowers, got your olives, GG
4th quest: Dewstone distilled liquor (This quest will only reward you with a large farm, so no point in doing it other than clearing that quest off of your quest log. Surprisingly this is also the only one that does not have all resources mass available in the wild. Intended by the devs? possibly.) 50 medicinal powder 190 narcissus
To get the coca- medicinal powder, you need mushrooms. Then you chop them down and start sniffing. Luckily mushrooms grow very well in swamps. And there's also an area called Hellswamp! It's swompy, and there's just too many mushrooms for one to gather in the pirate camp located south of it. As for the narcissus, 190 is a lot. I have yet to find where they grow in mass numbers naturally. But since they only take 1 h in temperate climate to grow you could always try your luck at growing them in the wold, or buy off AH since flowers are not likely to be expensive. (If anyone has info on mass growing wild narcissus please share! Got your cocaine, hopefully got your narcissus, GG
Note on respawns: Trees (like grape vines and olive trees) spawn in one of the 3 forms in the wild -sapling/young. Can be uprooted -tree. Can be cut down -fruited tree. Can be harvested and/or cut down
After their timer expires they despawn and another version on it will spawn in 1-3 hours. That means each time you uproot or cut down an olive tree for example, there's a 33% chance that when it appears again in 1-3 hours it will be fruited. So if you are REALLY eager to get those quests over with, you can always chop down/uproot the sapling/tree and know it will spawn back faster then just waiting for it's timer to expire. But be ready to burn much more labor.
Hope you will QQ a little less about not being able to own a farm and explore the world more.
